Dianette – don’t take any extra contraception
The Dianette contraceptive pill is a contraceptive with a bit of a difference. It’s really not a contraceptive pill in any way. It is in reality a pill that may help fight acne. Acne is caused by hormones and especially androgens or male hormones. If you’re manufacturing too many male hormones then your skin will usually become oily and your hair growth will be excited. Dianette tablets contain a female sex hormone which is oestrogen and an anti-androgen. This anti-androgen will stop your body from making so much sebum as it blocks the grease-glands and pores and stops them becoming infected. When they become infected the acne bacteria feed on them and reproduce and that’s why they become inflamed and full of puss. The explanation that Dianette is thru of as a contraceptive rather than a pill for acne, is that if you take Dianette there is no need for you to take any additional contraception as you are adding more oestrogen to your body. The Dianette tablet should really only be used to heal acne in girls and only after an extended period of time. It could also be used to treat unwarranted hair on the face which some people get after they have had youngsters. This can also be called Hirsutism and will leave ladies feeling really nervous. Dianette is a great pill which will help against this too.
